The Kenda/SRT AMA West Hare Scramble Championship Series presented by MOJO Motosport saw some awesome racing and extreme weather for round 5 in Hagerman, Idaho, hosted by Magic Valley Motocross.
With the rainfall the day prior, the course conditions were perfect for the races kicking off Saturday morning. The Pee Wee racers were the first racers off of the starting line on Saturday morning, and it was not long before TJ Wasson was in the lead, this race being his very first hare scramble. The Pee Wee racers raced on a 3 mile course and saw Ashton Leavitt in 2nd and Ryker Garrity in 3rd behind Wasson to round out the Pee Wee podium.
Race 2 of the day saw the Micro Mini, Girls, and Jr. Girls classes. In the Micro Mini class, Lowe Lord led the entire race with a nearly untouchable lead. Behind Lord in 2nd off of the first lap, Caleb Aiden was racing in a 2nd OA position with Carter Tittsworth in 3rd. By the last lap, the top three racers had changed drastically with Jackson Adams racing up from 8th to 2nd OA and Ben Alex Davis from 7th to 3rd OA. the Micro Mini podium was topped by Lowe Lord with Jackson Adams in 2nd, and Ben Alex Davis in 3rd. In the Girls class for this race, Italia Rife led the entire race, finishing 6th OA. Behind her in a 2nd place finish was Rhianna Bingham next to Benson Aschenbrener in 3rd after the two girls battled it out the entire race. The Jr. Girls class saw Keyona Larsen in 1st with Olivia Liggett in 2nd and Sara Conaway in 3rd.
The last race of the day saw the Big Wheel, Mini, Jr. Mini, and Youth C classes take to the course. In the lead for the Big Wheel class was Seth Sadorra, remaining there for the entirety of the race. In 2nd OA was Lane Forbes, holding a steady position throughout the 6 mile course. Ryder Thomaselli raced in a 3rd OA position and continued to put the pressure on Forbes as each lap passed. The Big Wheel podium saw Seth Sadorra in 1st, Lane Forbes in 2nd, and Ryder Thomaselli in 3rd. In this same race, Jett Lessing in the Mini class pushed his way up to 4th OA after racing in an 8th OA position. Lessing finished 1st in the Mini class next to Talon Mastrude in 2nd and Harley Jefferies in 3rd. The Jr. Mini class saw an awesome race from Elizabeth Edwards, who has been racing hare scrambles with the series since she was on a 50cc. Edwards took the win for the Jr. Mini class next to Troy Pensotti in 2nd and Jeran Bellamy in 3rd. The Youth C class saw Drake Olaveson in 1st with Jorden Brownlee in 2nd and Jayden Brownlee in 3rd.
